In the early Eighties, a Father and Son had a menswear store. One day, a Scottish fellow came in with a cardboard box under his arm, wanting to sell them some tartan ties. The Father, having been born in Scotland, bought the lot -- even if the fellow insisted on keeping his box! Before long, they were distributing the ties, and related products to the greater Los Angeles area, and eventually to shops across the Fifty States. In time, the Son's daughter and son-in-law took over running the business. When the time came to give up the distribution business, they formed this site, to keep in touch with the tartan and to maintain a family business well into its third generation.
